I haven't updated this shriveled up, dried out blog in months, and it seems the last post was yesteryear - hence the title. The holidays are almost over and I still have some projects hanging in the balance. And I have to read the book we are using for literature. The literature teacher didn't even tell us! She just put it in the list of holiday projects. Ugh. Last Friday my brother found two abandoned rabbits in one of the nearby blocks. His friend wanted to keep one ( the other was balding, she took the furry one ) but her mother didn't allow it. So my brother took both home. We're trying to find them a home through HRSS, a society which rescues abandoned rabbits and finds them homes. Right now there's not enough places for the rabbits, so we're keeping them for now. I really see my ( deceased ) rabbit, Snuffles, when I look at them. They have the same markings as him - white fur with ebony ears and patches around their eyes. The hairless one ( whose fur is growing back ) is named Floppy, because his ear is kinda'... floppy! The one with a full coat of fur is called Clippers, because we found out that Floppy was bald because Clippers was eating his fur! I'm using male pronouns { he, his etc. } because we aren't sure of their genders. Ha. Anyway, to get to my point. Is there anybody interested in adopting these two poor rabbits? Their so pitiful, they were left in a cage with no food or water, and just 10 minutes after we brought the rabbits home, a heavy downpour greeted us, sending chills around the neighborhood. It's so sad because these innocent rabbits did nothing to deserve such horrible treatment, and, if their original owners didn't want them, why not at least leave them food and water? I deeply wish to keep these rabbits, but I can't, no matter how much I wish to. Firstly, we are moving and there's simply no place for them. And also, we just went through the murderous pain of losing a 16-year old cat in March. I don't want to go through the pain of losing these two rabbits when they grow old.
